Catch the fish that you’ve been missing out on!  Bowjax has come up with one of the most innovative solutions to the vibration associated with trolling motors.  Although they are quiet, the also make quite a bit of vibration as they go through the water.  Ever tried the two penny test with your trolling motor?  Put two pennies on the top and then start it up…you’ll see that they vibrate off.  This is the vibration that can scare off fish that are close to your boat.  Using the Bowjax MVD damper, try that test again…the result will be dramatically different as the pennies stay on.  Less vibration equals less disturbances to scare the fish.

Order Your Bowjax MVD right from Cabelas at this Link.

What good is a great idea without science to back it up? Bowjax studied the effectiveness of this dampener in a scientific setting. The study showed a reduction vibration in Hz/G’s from 262 to 204. This proves it doesn’t matter if you have the best new lure on the market. If you dampen your trolling motor, you increase your odds of catching more fish.

BRANSON, MO - Watching fellow Bassmaster Elite Series' pro Brandon Palaniuk win the Elite Series event at Bull Shoals Lake gave Casey Scanlon an idea. He decided to replicate Palaniuk's pattern this week during the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Central Open at Table Rock Lake.

His strategy paid off as the Lenexa, Kansas, pro won his first B.A.S.S. event and a berth to the 2013 Bassmaster Classic by catching 49 pounds, 4 ounces of Table Rock bass. He also took home a Triton/Yamaha rig valued at $45,000 and $6,720 in cash.

"Last week on Bull Shoals, a lot of the fish were being caught on (Storm Lures) Wiggle Warts," Scanlon said . "I caught some deep fish in practice here on a deep crankbait, and everybody knows that Brandon Palaniuk kind of put us to shame with the bags he brought in on that deep crankbait. So I looked for that pattern in practice. I caught a lot of good fish doing that in practice, and I was catching some bigger ones on the bluffs."

He stared fishing the bluffs the first day but he noticed that bite he had in practice was fading, so he switched to the deep-diving crankbait - a chartreuse sexy shad Strike King 6XD model that produced for him in the afternoon.

BAINBRIDGE, GA - Brandon McMillan continues his dominance in tournament competition , as the Clewiston, Fla., pro weighed a five-bass limit totaling 17 pounds, 4 ounces Saturday to win the EverStart Series Southeast Division event on Lake Seminole with a three-day total of 13 bass weighing 51 pounds, 11 ounces. For his victory, McMillan earned $35,000 and a Ranger Z518 with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard motor.

"Today was perfect timing for me to catch that shad spawn," said McMillan. "The weather was overcast, breezy and foggy and that kept the shad around for another 20 minutes. I was fishing on the sand bars near Spring Creek, and just swinging a 4x4 Bass Jigs 3/8-ounce white swimjig. I was just swimming it through that grass early this morning, and the overcast weather allowed me to get the extra key minutes that really helped me to catch them.

"It speaks to the quality of fishing we have in Oklahoma and also to the anglers who get out there and fish for them. We congratulate him on his great catch."

FRANKFORT, Ky. - The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources will remove stunted white crappie from Boltz Lake in Grant County beginning at dusk on Monday, March 26.

The fisheries division plans to utilize electrofishing boats to remove 5- to 8-inch white crappie for restocking into Taylorsville Lake in Spencer County.

"Even though these crappie are small in size, they are mature fish that will spawn this year in Taylorsville Lake," said Gerry Buynak, assistant director of fisheries for Kentucky Fish and Wildlife. "With hope, this will improve the white crappie population in Taylorsville Lake which has declined in recent years."
